Jim Mundy brings more than three decades of experience in cybersecurity, telecommunications, and managed technology services to his role as a Founding Partner at AxiaIQ. With a deep-rooted focus on cybersecurity posture and AI readiness, Jim helps commercial and government organizations navigate complex digital risks and adopt future-ready strategies with confidence.
Before co-founding AxiaIQ, Jim served as the National Security Specialist at Intelisys, where he advised partners and clients on building comprehensive cybersecurity frameworks. Earlier in his career, he led Segra’s Security Operations Center as Director of Security Operations, managing enterprise-grade cybersecurity services and guiding a team of engineers and analysts.
Jim’s career spans key leadership roles in sales engineering and product development, as well as entrepreneurial ventures. He founded and successfully exited two companies—Tele-Media Security Company, acquired by ADT, and PaxNet, an early internet service provider sold to NewSouth Communications. These experiences, combined with his early work in a family-owned cable television company, give Jim a rare, full-spectrum view of the technology lifecycle—from infrastructure to innovation.
Certified as a CISSP and a Registered Practitioner in the CMMC ecosystem, Jim is known for making complex cybersecurity concepts approachable and actionable. His leadership at AxiaIQ ensures that every client benefits from a pragmatic, security-first approach tailored to their business needs.
